Antonio J. Chica Núñez
Member of the TRACCE research group. He has been working as full-time Lecturer in the Translation and Interpreting Department of the University of Granada since September 2020 and holds a PhD in Translation from the University Pablo de Olavide of Seville, where he worked as research fellow and lecturer between 2009 and 2020. His main research areas are Multimodality, AVT and AVT for Accessibility (Audio Description and Subtitling for the Deaf and Hearing-impaired). He is an expert in the analysis of motion images as source texts and co-texts in Audiovisual Translation, with a special interest in the multimodal translation process involved in audio description. He is a member of the 'HUM 770' Andalusian research programme group and, as such, has contributed to the development of several R&D projects: AMATRA (P07-SEJ-2660), PRA2 (FFI2010-16142), OPERA (FFI2015-65934-R) and AL-MUSACTRA (B-TIC-352-UGR18) and TALENTO (PID2020-118775RB-C21), among others.
