Alejandrina Falcón
Doctor in arts at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and researcher for the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) at the Instituto de Historia Argentina y Americana “Dr. Emilio Ravignani” (UBA-CONICET). She has published articles about the history of translation publishing in national and international magazines, among them “La producción de lo clásico: un estudio sobre las colecciones argentinas de literatura universal” (2018) and “Hacia el hondo bajo fondo: prohibición y censura de traducciones en la Argentina (1957-1972)” (2019). She is author of the book Traductores del exilio: argentinos en editoriales españolas: traducciones, escrituras por encargo y conflicto lingüístico (1974-1983) (Iberoamericana/Vervuert. 2018). She has translated Paul Ricœur, Élisabeth Badinter, Françoise Dolto, Albert Londres, and Charles Baudelaire, among others. She teaches translation studies at IES en Lenguas Vivas “Juan Ramón Fernández” and undergraduate and graduate seminars at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of UBA. She codirects the Carrera de Especialización en Traducción Literaria (CETRALIT) at the graduate level of the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (UBA), where she is professor of the seminar “Historia de la traducción editorial en la Argentina.

Patricia Willson
Doctor in arts at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and translator of IES en Lenguas Vivas “Juan R. Fernández”. She is the author of La Constelación del Sur. Traductores y traducciones en la literatura argentina del siglo XX (Buenos Aires, Siglo XXI Editores, 2017, 2ª ed.) and de Página impar. Textos sobre la traducción en Argentina: conceptos, historia, figuras (Buenos Aires, EThos, 2019). She is the editor of Crítica y traducción en Julio Cortázar (Madrid, Iberoamericana/ Vervuert, 2019) and coeditor of Impliciter/Expliciter. L'intervention du traducteur (Liege, Presses universitaires de Liège, 2018) and Traductores y traducciones en la historia cultural de América Latina (Mexico, UNAM, 2011). She has translated, among other authors, Roland Barthes, Paul Ricœur, Gustave Flaubert, Jean-Paul Sartre, Richard Rorty, Mary Shelley, Mark Twain, H.P. Lovecraft, and Jack London. She was an educator at IES en Lenguas Vivas and Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UBA, and a professor and researcher at El Colegio de México. She currently teaches at the University of Liege (Belgium) and codirects the Carrera de Especialización en Traducción Literaria (CETRALIT) at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (UBA).

He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Maine at Augusta, where he completed his studies with a focus on performance of jazz and Afro-Latin music. He currently resides in New York City and works for SpanishDict.com and as a freelance translator.
