  Frederic Chaume Varela

Professor of Audiovisual Translation at Universitat Jaume I (Spain), where he teaches audiovisual translation theory and dubbing; and Honorary Professor at University College London (UK), Universidad Ricardo Palma (Perú) and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (Perú). He is the author of seven books and has also coedited two books and two special journal issues (Perspectives, Prosopopeya). He is the director of the TRAMA book series, the first collection of monographs on audiovisual translation and media localization. Prof. Chaume has published several articles, book chapters and encyclopedic entries on audiovisual translation and has given several keynote lectures on this topic in international translation studies conferences and many European and American universities. He also teaches regularly in some of them. He coordinates the research group TRAMA and has been awarded the Berlanga Award and the Xènia Martínez Award for his support for media localization and his constant university training in this field.

 

 

  Julio de los Reyes Lozano

PhD in Translation Studies in 2015 from the universities Jaume I of Castellón (Spain) and Reims Champagne-Ardenne (France). A sworn translator in French, he has worked as a translator and proof-reader in different areas of expertise. His full-time academic affiliation from 2011 to 2017 was the University of Lille (France), where he was a lecturer of Interpreting, Translation and Spanish Language-Civilization courses. He has also taught at the University of Valencia, Córdoba, EDHEC Business School and ESPOL Lille. After his post-doc at the research group TRAMA, he is now a full-time lecturer and researcher in the Translation and Communication department at the Universitat Jaume I. His main research interest is audiovisual translation, particularly the translation of children’s films and their reception.
