Author  Sandra L. Halverson

Professor of translation and professional communication at the University of Agder. Her research has centred on questions related to various areas of Translation and Interpreting Studies and cognitive linguistics, and she has published both empirical and theoretical/conceptual work. Other long-term research interests are the epistemology of Translation Studies and research methodology. Professor Halverson is a member of the Translation Research, Empiricism and Cognition network (TREC) and INTERACT. She served as co-editor of Target for a period of eight years and currently serves on the editorial boards of several TIS journals. She was appointed CETRA Chair Professor for 2018. Prof Halverson is an affiliate of the MC2 Lab and a member of TREC.

Author  Haidee Kotze

Professor and chair of translation studies at Utrecht University. She is editor-in-chief of the journal Target, and co-editor of the book series Translation, Interpreting and Transfer (Leuven University Press). Her research explores the complexities of linguistic, social, institutional and ideological aspects of language contact (including translation) in multilingual settings. Her most recent work is at the interface of linguistics and digital humanities and focuses on modelling language change in parliamentary discourse across varieties of English. Prof Kotze is a member of TREC.
