Nitsa Ben-Ari
From 2001 to 2017 Chair of Diploma Studies for Translation & Revision in Tel-Aviv University (TAU). Until 2017, head of Translation Studies in TAU. Devoted her career to translation: research, teaching, and literary translation. Her major research interest lies in translation & ideology: manipulation, subversion and censorship. Key topic in her books and essays is the relationship between literature and nation building. She was chief prose editor for original and translated literature in Zmora Bitan Dvir Publishing House (1995-2000). She was head of the Institute for the Promotion of Translation of World Masterpieces (2010-2016). She is co-editor of the academic book series Haivrit safa haya (Hebrew – A Living Language).
