Ricardo Muñoz Martín
Part-time freelance translator since 1987. His education includes 5-year BA (licenciatura) in English-German Studies, a 3-year BA (diplomatura) in Translation and Interpreting, and a PhD in Hispanic Linguistics from UC Berkeley. Formerly the coordinator of the research team “Expertise & Environment in Translation” (PETRA, Spanish acronym), he now directs the Laboratory for Multilectal Mediated Communication & Cognition (the MC2 Lab) at the University of Bologna (Forlì campus), where he is professor of cognitive translation studies. Muñoz was co-founder and now co-edits the journal Translation, cognition & behavior and is a member of the TREC Network.
