Patricia Rodríguez-Inés
PhD in Translation Theory and senior lecturer in the Department of Translation, Interpreting and East Asian Studies of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Her research interests include translator training; corpus linguistics applied to translation; and translation competence, its acquisition and its levels. Her doctoral thesis on developing competence in the use of electronic corpora for translator training earned her a special PhD award from the UAB, the title of European Doctor, and AIETI’s prize for the best thesis read in the 2007-08 period. Since 2000, she has been lecturing in general and specialized L1 (Spanish) and L2 (English) translation, as well as on resources for translation and Translation Studies. She coordinates the UAB’s official master’s degree in Translation and Intercultural Studies and was a member of the PACTE research group for over 20 years, as well as part of the TREC researcher network's and AIETI’s management committees. She is currently an active member of the EMT working group on L2 translation.

Paul Taylor (translator)
MA in Translation Studies from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and translator from Spanish and Catalan into English for a living since 1999. Most of his work consists of translating and editing research articles and other academic and scientific texts.
