María Isabel Del Pozo Triviño
PhD in Translation and Interpretation and sworn English-Spanish translator and interpreter, with a long-standing professional career as a translator and interpreter. She is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Philology and Translation at the University of Vigo. She also teaches in several postgraduate and PhD programmes in Spanish and foreign universities. She has a consolidated career in research and has many publications in legal translation and public services translation and interpretation (PSTI). She was the coordinator of the European Speak Out for Support (SOS-VICS) project that focused on training interpreters to work with victims of gender‑based violence and is currently involved in several PSTI research projects. Moreover, she has participated in numerous international scientific conferences, in some as a guest speaker, and is a member of several networks of academic and professional associations (XESCOM Network, AIETI, Red Comunica, TREC, GENTT, BIFEGA, APTIJ, AGPTI, etc.).
Doris Fernandes del Pozo
Degree in Journalism (USC 2011), Master's degree in Communication and Creative Industries (USC 2012), degree in Translation and Interpretation (UVigo 2013) and Master's degree in Teacher Training (UVigo 2018). She worked as research assistant in the European Speak Out for Support (SOS-VICS) project, in which her tasks included research and development of an interpreter training program for provision of linguistic mediation to gender-based violence victims. Her work experience includes working as Communication Manager at the Terminology Coordination Unit of the European Parliament under a Robert Schuman grant (Luxembourg 2017), and a decade of experience as a freelance interpreter and translator in the private market and for international institutions such as the European Parliament and the European Commission. She currently is a civil servant teaching English in the Galician Secondary School System, as well as part-time lecturer in Translation and Interpretation at the University of Vigo.
